How long does it take you to write your first words on reports? Better yet, how long do you wait until you pull out your computer or pen and paper to begin the process? Thinking about beginning a huge project can be overwhelming for most. For me, the first step can be one of the most daunting tasks. If you really think about it, taking out the tools needed to begin isn't a big deal, but sometimes the weight of a large project can paralyze us. Take time to breathe in. Seriously... take a deep breath. Tell yourself to relax. Now take some more calming, deep breaths, and if closing your eyes while breathing is helpful, the do that as well. Ahhhh. Clearing our minds helps us to improve our focus, have clarity in our thoughts, and prepare for the task at hand. Now that you have cleared your mind and relaxed, let's begin.
